Education and Career History
A licensed educator, GILDA CARLE holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from New York University, with a concentration in psychology, sociology, and social psychology. Her doctoral research explored self-esteem, role expectations, interpersonal communications, and relationships, and she received certification from New York State as a teacher, principal and school superintendent. As a youngster, she danced on TV. As a young adult, she taught and administered educational programs in New York's inner city schools in the South Bronx. Later heading her own firm, she became a management consultant and motivational speaker for Fortune 500 companies. The Wall Street Journal called her "a woman warrior who trains executives in Sun Tzu's The Art of War [She prefers its other translation, "The Art of Strategy"], as it applies to communications." She has published papers in technical and company journals, and has delivered some of them abroad for IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).

The Dean at Mercy College praised DR. GILDA by calling her, "Mother Theresa with lipstick and The Wall Street Journal." But she says it's her clients, students and fans who deserve the credit, because it is they who continue to teach her how to serve people best.
